spider bites ontop of transmission tower hesso station
We are now at Edith's and Joel's arriving here yesterday. It's 53kms north from Port Augusta on a sheep station of the Stuart highway. Today Joel took us both out to show us the property and Ian helped him to clean the sheep troughs. There's 24,000 sheep on this 1,500sq km station and we have been doing stuff very much out of the norm. He also shot a couple of wild goats and at present they went back out to shoot for a duck or too and more goat for the rotisserie for tea tonight . Wayne and Lorraine are on the road right now travelling here as it is a longweekend this weekend. The weather here is very wild and woolly i think the men would be shooting in between storms. We have had plenty of wind and rain with hail included. Seems like winter. We will be leaving here probably around Sunday and heading for Tumby bay. Hopefully the weather will improve as the wind makes it harder to tow the caravan.
hi dear friends and family all good as you can see Spear Creek Sheep Station just outside Pt Augusta. Arrived here around 3pm. after leaving Paskeville with our friend Paul Smith. Had a great time with him for 3 nights. Did a tiki tour of Monnta, Walleroo and Port Hughes how that has all changed. Saw the Dunes golf course that Greg Norman has dibs in. Very much like Hindmarsh Is and a bit too plastic for me. As it turned out Paul's neighbours that are really good people had family from Brisbane for Joan's 61st birthday which we attended. Spent a lot of time socialising with the locals which is what we do best. Caught up with Paul's daughter Belinda and son Mark. Even got invited for coffee and scones this morning by a couple before heading off and invited back anytime whether Paul is there or not. Will stay here 2-3 nights what a top place on the edge of the Flinders Rangers amongest all the gum trees and very peaceful. Has been closed here for the last couple of years re-opened in June we were reccommended to visit here by a girl i worked with. Can certainly reccommend it ourselves a bit of the track but not by much. There is a map so you can see. We will go and visit Joel Vennables on our way through to Tumby Bay. Travelling well did have to stop on the way to Paskeville as we heard an almighty noise had a look and Ian thought the turbo had gone but lucky for us it was the turbo hose not clamped on tight enough blew off.
